Your oral health greatly depends on how well you take care of your teeth. However, the next most important factor should be what you eat. In order to have the healthiest teeth possible, you need to make sure you eat the most nutrient-dense foods possible. In most peoples' lives, produce is the healthiest food option available. If you frequently walk away from your plate and leave the produce behind, you may be doing damage to your oral health and not even know it. What Produce Offers Your Oral HealthWhen it comes to nutrients, you can't go wrong if you eat lots of produce. The more you eat, the more nutrition you have coming into your body naturally. Your body can absorb more nutrients out of what you eat than if you were to take a daily multi-vitamin. Ideally, you should try and get at least six servings of produce daily. Plus, each serving should be from a different color group. If you can get a serving that is red, one that is orange, one that is yellow, one that is green, one that is blue, and one that is purple, you are giving your mouth, along with the rest of your body, a great nutritional boost. When eating meals, try and make sure you fill up on the produce first as often as possible. Leaving it behind means that your body, specifically your mouth, is not as healthy as it could be if you were eating all that produce. Give your body the boost is needs and deserves. Call our office to help with the process of caring for your teeth. Then, make sure to eat as much produce as you possibly can throughout each and every day. Your teeth will look and feel healthier for it! |
